Before you get pumped up about picking out the gown, decorations, etc., you ought to take the time to set your guest list. Gather around with your loved ones and create your master guest list so that you know the size of your wedding. After all, one of the single most critical of your day is who you'll share it with!
So many elements are resolved by the size of the guest list: the money to be spent, where the reception will be, how much food to order, etc. Doing the proper preparation helps make the foundation for the rest of your wedding.
